I am delighted to continue teaching at ArtsPlace! I love the programming there and am grateful to be a part of the community. I will be teaching an intermediate class on Wednesday nights. I don’t know what we are going to make as the class is always student led, but it is always fun. Last year we made goblets, coffee presses and butter dishes. Happy Wednesday!

What makes Canmore Magical?
The image above is full of stories. It started with the first class, a blank board, a chunk of clay and the question: What makes Canmore Magical? Emphasized with: what makes Canmore magical to you? What is here that you love? And the answer is nothing short of bears, mountains, dragons, unicorns, the train and of course rabbits, lol, so many rabbits.
If you look closely you’ll find a helicopter on top of mountain that holds the golden dragon egg; you’ll see Lighting McQueen whizzing around the Smith Dorian Highway, passing all the other cars while a dragon AND dinosaur loom overhear; you’ll see Woodstock, bikes, Elle the Elephant, eagles nests, the three sister mountains and of course… pandas.
This experience was magical, and I appreciated every moment in it. Thank you for including me ArtsPlace.
I have a coil building workshop coming up on November 28th. I’ll post more details soon.
Summer camp fun!
I taught ceramics on the last day of summer camp! We had so much fun and made some pumpkins. I learnt that pumpkins are really hard to make and if they are not perfectly dry, they will blow up. Maybe not an activity for last day of class, but instead a workshop.
