winter 2022 artist showcase at The Canmore Museum

I am excited to have my work at The Canmore Museum Shop! I have loved following their community focused initiatives as they reimagine themselves and connect with local communities. I’ve read much of Nina Simons work and I look forward to seeing what an OF-BY-FOR ALL museum can do to transform museum relevance in the Bow Valley.

I didn’t realize how much work I had held onto until I was asked by Sarah Knowles if I could place my ceramics in the museum shop for an Feature Showcase. I didn’t have to think hard about accepting the offer knowing that their mission aligns with the values I strive for. When I looked around my house, I found I had pieces created in the past two years that I had held back and were available for this opportunity. As I collected them I realized that this is a show of my best and favourite pieces. I had started a habit of keeping the work I want to recreate to inspire me as I keep moving forward in my art journey. I am soo excited to bring them together and have them featured in the Canmore Museum Shop Showcase.

You can find more of my work here along with some of my favourite local artists such as Barbara Rumberger, Patti Dyment, and Andrew Holloway: Feature Artists Showcase | Canmore Museum Shop

I hope you are able to go see my ceramics at the Canmore Museum and can see the passion I feel while creating these pieces. The work is intentionally tactile, I encourage you to pick it up and hold it. I hope you feel the love.
